I'm Maya Sunario, a writer, designer, and creator of Emerald Phoenix Press.
From the Algarve, I bring together a lifelong love of literature, visual storytelling, and thoughtful craftsmanship. My work spans restored classic books, original writing projects, and a growing portfolio of design pieces created for individuals, businesses, theatre groups, charities, and community organisations.
Emerald Phoenix Press is my independent publishing imprint; a home for beautifully restored classics and future literary collections. The Emerald Phoenix logo represents my creative identity as a whole: renewal, clarity, and stories made with heart. The Celtic Batik Phoenix you see here is my heritage emblem, a reflection of my Irish and Indonesian roots. Each symbol has its own story, which I share in more detail on my About page.
This website is the centre of my creative world; a place where my books, my design portfolio, and my stories come together under one name: Maya Sunario.
