Stories shaped by place, people, and imagination.

The Alvor Chronicles

A psychological thriller trilogy set on the Algarve.

Set in the whitewashed lanes and tidal lagoon of a small Algarve fishing village, The Alvor Chronicles follows the slow, deliberate unearthing of an evil that has lived quietly among them, and the women who finally bring it into the light.

Edward Marlowe, an English widower who has spent two decades house-sitting a clifftop villa, is beloved by the locals who think they know him. But the shape of his life begins to shift through the perspectives of the women whose paths cross his:

  • a young estate agent returning to the town her family left
  • a police inspector marked by a brother she could not save
  • a Ukrainian cleaner who has learned to read what others overlook
  • the young women from festival nights who, over time, begin to speak

The village will be the last to recognise the truth.

For readers of Tana French, Elena Ferrante, and Patricia Highsmith; a literary thriller with a quiet dread that deepens as the story unfolds.
